Vivo introduced the Pad3 Pro in March with a Dimensity 9300 chipset. And as promised, the brand released the base model today. The vivo Pad3 is based on a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip with up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. It runs on OriginOS 4 based on Android 14. However, vivo did not say how many Android version upgrades are still to come.

The vivo Pad3 has a 12.1-inch 144 Hz LCD display with a resolution of 2,800 x 1,968 pixels. The aspect ratio is a comfortable 7:5 and the peak brightness is 600 nits. The panel also covers the DCI-P3 color space and supports HDR10 content with up to 1.07 billion colors. The screen also supports eye-friendly natural color temperature adjustment, fatigue-reducing brightness adjustment, and a senior-friendly color mode.

The camera setup is, as is typical for tablets, rather simple. The Vivo Pad3 has an 8-megapixel main camera on the back and a 5-megapixel selfie camera on the front. The entire package is powered by a 10,000 mAh battery that draws up to 44 watts of power via a USB-C port. Other highlights include a 6-speaker setup with 3D panoramic audio, a 3D heat dissipation system with a total heat dissipation area of 27,500 mm2, hardware ray tracing for gaming, and Vivo’s own BlueLM AI model.

The vivo Pad3 also supports the vivo Pencil2s pen and Smart Touch Keyboard, which are sold separately. The Pencil2s has a non-slip grip and features wireless magnetic charging, dual keys and Chinese handwriting beautification. The keyboard, on the other hand, has 64 keys in five rows, connects via POGO pins and has a trackpad.

The vivo Pad3 is 6.57mm thick, weighs 589.2g and has a metal body. It is offered in blue, purple and gray and in four storage configurations – 8/128GB, 8/256GB, 12/256GB and 12/512GB.
