Huawei P70: case shows new camera design
The rumor mill surrounding the Huawei P70 has been relatively quiet lately. The last update on the P70 series came back in January and revealed some key specs. Now a new leak has surfaced from popular Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station. The picture shows two protective cases for the Huawei cell phone and the corresponding cutouts for the camera module.
The tipster claims that the protective cases come from third parties. You can clearly see the changed design of the camera island of the Huawei P70 series. The three cameras are arranged in a symmetrical triangular shape. The largest ring will likely house the 50-megapixel main camera. The other two cutouts are likely for the telephoto and ultrawide cameras.
The horizontal opening could be for the two-tone LED flash. However, a combination of LED flash and a laser to support autofocus would also be conceivable. As with previous rumors, the main camera will likely use a 50-megapixel OmniVision OV50H variable aperture sensor. The ultrawide camera also resolves 50 megapixels with a Sony IMX989 chip and the telephoto camera also has a resolution of 50 megapixels and offers four times optical zoom.
