Tecno introduces Pova 6 Pro with 6,000 mAh battery and 108 MP camera
The Tecno Pova 6 Pro is official and follows the game plan of its predecessor – it is a gaming phone with an interesting design and a bang for your bucks. Under the hood is a 6nm Dimensity 6080 chipset paired with 8 or 12 GB of RAM. The octa-core chipset has two 2.4 GHz Cortex-A76 cores and six 2.0 GHz Cortex-A55. A Mali-G57 MC2 takes care of the graphics.
On the front, the Tecno Pova 6 Pro features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution. There is also a huge 6,000 mAh battery (1,000 mAh more than its predecessor) with 70 watt charging power and 10 watt reverse charging. The matching charger is part of the scope of delivery.
Whether in Meteorite Gray or Comet Green, the Pova 6 Pro features a semi-transparent design that Tecno calls Dynamic-Tech Design. Underneath the transparent back is a precision lithographic texture and an array of LEDs that Tecno calls the Dynamic Light Effect. There is also the Dynamic Eye, which surrounds one of the three lenses in the camera array. And the Dynamic Light effect itself – a propeller-shaped LED strip. It consists of a total of 210 LEDs and 9 lighting modes with 101 custom effects to choose from.
In addition, there are three cameras on the back of the Pova 6 Pro, but actually only one that makes a meaningful contribution. This is a 108 megapixel camera that doubles as a 3x lossless zoom and up to 10x digital zoom. There is also a 2 megapixel depth sensor and an “AI camera”. At the front a 32 megapixel camera with its own dual-tone LED flash takes selfies.
The Tecno Pova 6 Pro will initially be launched in the Philippines, Saudi Arabia and India. Other markets will follow later. Expected price is $229 for the 8/256GB version and $269 for the 12/256GB version.
