Samsung Galaxy S24 series and Galaxy Z Fold6 get camera update
Samsung has uploaded a major software update called AXB5 for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra. There are two major improvements – one is a fix for the display issues and the other is the camera experience. The new firmware has already been reported from various sources, including X users, Samsung members and Reddit posts. However, all reports of success so far relate to devices in South Korea. - Action Heroes (Galaxy S24 Ultra only): Capture fast-moving subjects in backlit conditions with sharper focus and clearer details.
- Subjects Shine (Galaxy S24 Ultra only): People, flowers, and more come to life with optimized exposure and color expression in photo mode.
As for the screen issues, Samsung says it wasn’t really a bug. Many users complained about the less colorful “Vivid” mode in the display settings of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series. The update also has a solution for this. The mode itsself doesn’t change. But in the new firmware you get a slider to adjust the vividness manually according to your own preferences.
New rumor: Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 gets 200 megapixel camera
According to a new rumor, Samsung is also bringing a pretty big camera upgrade to the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold6. Reliable tipster Revegnus has shared a post suggesting that we will see the same 200-megapixel ISOCELL HP2 camera sensor in the upcoming Fold6 as in the Galaxy S24 Ultra. The post is in direct contrast to an earlier tip from the also reliable source Ice Universe. The latter assumes that we will see the same 50 megapixel sensor as under the main camera of the Galaxy Z Fold5.
Recent rumors about the Z Fold6 suggest a wider aspect ratio of the cover display while being lighter. Like every year, a more inconspicuous crease in the main display is a big topic in the rumor mill. In addition, Samsung is reportedly also working on a cheaper Galaxy Z Fold6 Lite, which will come onto the market this year.
