Honor Magic V2 launches in Europe for 1,999 euros
The Honor Magic V2 is finally available to order in Europe, almost 5 months after its unveiling at IFA 2023 in Berlin. The thin, foldable Honor smartphone is already available in purple and black and costs €1,999 / £1,699 for the 16/512 GB variant. European customers will also receive the Magic Care+ service for free replacement of the display.
The Honor Magic V2 was unveiled to hundreds of media representatives and guests at the Porsche Experience Center in Leipzig, Germany. However, the journey to Europe took quite some time after the launch in China in July 2023. This is despite the fact that Honor likes to call the European market its “second home”.
Nevertheless, the thinnest inward-folding smartphone on the market to date still packs a punch. It has a 7.92-inch LTPO OLED main display with a resolution of 2,156 x 2,344 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The panel offers HDR 10+, a maximum brightness of 1,600 nits and also features 3,840 Hz high-frequency PWM dimming.
The OLED cover display has a size of 6.43 inches and supports 10-bit color. The resolution is 2,376 x 1,060 pixels and the refresh rate reaches a maximum of 120 Hz. PWM dimming is also built in and the maximum brightness reaches 2,500 nits. In addition, both panels support pen input. Finally, the Honor Magic V2 is SGS-certified to withstand 400,000 folds, which is enough for a decade of daily use.
