A new post from well-known tipster Digital Chat Station today revealed several specifications of the Huawei P70 series. The leak seems to have arrived just in time. Since the Huawei P60 series was launched in March last year, it is safe to assume that the P70 family will premiere in the next two to three months maximum.

According to the leak, the Huawei P70 Pro gets an OLED display that is curved on all four sides. The 1.5K resolution spreads across a diagonal of 6.7 inches. The same technical data applies to the entry model. But the panel is flat and not curved, just like the new Samsung flagship Galaxy S24 Ultra. There are also two front-facing stereo speakers on board and the back is painted in several colors in at least one version.

In addition, like the Huawei P60 Pro, there are three cameras on the back, all of which took pretty good pictures in our review at the time. According to rumors, the P70 Pro’s main camera will feature OmniVision’s 50-megapixel variable-aperture OV50H sensor. The sensor size is 1/1.3 inch and the individual pixels measure a fairly large 1.2 µm.

The entire hardware will be powered by a 5,000 mAh battery. A Kirin 9010 chipset takes over the drive, according to previous leaks. Huawei is also currently testing a significantly better ultra-wide-angle camera.
