Honor Magic V2 RSR Porsche Design: Feather-light foldable is here
Honor announced its partnership with Porsche Design last month and today we see the first product to come from it. The Honor Magic V2 RSR Porsche Design is a sportier version of the feather-light high-end foldable. It has the same hardware as the Magic V2. But there is only one version with 16 GB RAM and 1 TB storage.
The design, however, is completely different. The Honor Magic V2 RSR Porsche Design is painted in the iconic Porsche agate gray. The case features Porsche’s signature flyline – the way the roofline slopes backwards. Flyline is all about an aggressive appearance and accordingly the Magic V2 RSR looks as if it is driving at high speed.
The camera island has lettering made of a titanium alloy. Additionally, the hinge mechanism is made of the lightweight metal, just like the regular Magic V2. The body itself is made of fiberglass and the frame is made of magnesium alloy, bringing the total weight down to just 234g, the same as the regular V2.
The Honor phone is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Among other things, this has to supply the two displays with data. These include a 6.43-inch LTPO OLED cover display with a 1080p resolution and a 7.92-inch LTPO OLED folding display with 2,156 x 2,344 pixels. The refresh rate is 120 Hz and the 5,000 mAh battery supports wired charging with 66 watts.

Nothing has changed in the camera setup either. There is also a 50 megapixel f/1.9 main camera, a 20 megapixel f/2.4 telephoto with 2.5x zoom and a 50 megapixel f/2.0 ultra wide with autofocus. A 16 megapixel front camera with an aperture of f/2.2 takes selfies on the cover screen. The Honor Magic V2 RSR Porsche Design goes on sale in China on January 12th. It will cost CNY 15,999 (€2,050/$2,250/£1,770/INR190,000), which sounds like quite a bit of money. On the other hand, you get a foldable with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage space for it.
