According to a new leak from the usually reliable tipster OnLeaks, Motorola is still sticking to mid-range smartphones with a built-in stylus. Last year, the company launched the Moto G Stylus (2023) in May and today CAD-based renders of the upcoming Motorola Moto G Stylus (2024) have appeared along with some specifications.

The new Motorola smartphone measures 162.5 x 74.7 x 8.09 mm and weighs 190 g. This means it is slightly less tall, slimmer and lighter but slightly wider than its predecessor, but the differences are small. It’s set to launch with Android 13 on board, which would be quite unfortunate considering Android 14 has been out for months now.

The Motorola Moto G Stylus (2024) will be powered by an as-yet-unknown Snapdragon chipset. There will be at least one version with 128GB of storage. There’s also a water-repellent coating, a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,200 pixels, support for 5G and NFC, Bluetooth 5.2 and a 5,000 mAh battery.

The main camera has a resolution of 50 megapixels through an optically stabilized lens, while the selfie camera has 8 megapixels. The back design has changed slightly compared to the 2023 model. The camera island now “flows” into the material on the back, which is a bit reminiscent of older flagship smartphones from Oppo. The frame is also flat all around.

The Motorola Moto G Stylus (2024)’s integrated stylus is located in a slot at the bottom right. At the bottom left you will find the 3.5 mm headphone jack. It’s still unclear when Motorola plans to introduce the new Moto G Stylus – we’ll keep our eyes open.
