George Zhao, CEO of Honor, doesn’t seem to be a fan of too much secrecy. Just ahead of its launch next week, the boss shared an image of an Honor Magic6 Pro and spoke in detail about the inspiration behind the green paint job and camera island design. He explained how the five-thousand-year history of Chinese civilization, 19th-century stone processing and “the vitality of all things in nature” inspired the creation of the “Squircle.”

Squircle is a made-up word between square and circle. This is apparently the best way to describe the camera module of the Honor Magic6 Pro. Marketing jargon aside, we can see that the new Honor phone will stick with the three-camera setup.

Shortly after, well-known tipster Digital Chat Station shared more new images of the Magic6 Pro from multiple angles. The same pictures appeared a little later in the official Honor Store and are therefore authentic. The three memory configurations of the Honor Magic6 Pro also came to light – 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB.

Next week’s big two-day event will take place on January 10th and 11th. In addition to the Honor Magic6 series, we will also see the latest version 8.0 of Honor’s MagicOS skin. However, there is no detailed schedule yet for the market launch and international premieres of the individual models.
