vivo’s gaming brand iQOO has added two new members to its Neo series – the iQOO Neo9 and the iQOO Neo9 Pro are here.

iQOO Neo9 Pro

The iQOO Neo9 Pro is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset, runs Android 14-based OriginOS 4 and has up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. The gaming smartphone also comes with a Q1 chip, which is supposed to keep the frame rate stable even at high FPS rates. A VC liquid cooling chamber measuring 6,043 mm² and a double-layer capillary pump ensure appropriate heat dissipation.

The iQOO Neo9 Pro is based on a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 144 Hz, a resolution of 2,800 x 1,260 pixels, a peak brightness of 1,400 nits and HDR10+ support. According to iQOO, you can use the screen even with wet or sweaty fingers. The display also has a central cutout for the 16 megapixel selfie camera. A fingerprint sensor on the bottom handles biometric authentication.

On the back, iQOO has a dual camera setup consisting of a 50 megapixel main camera with OIS and a 50 megapixel ultra wide. The sensors are identical to the cameras on the vivo X100. The Pro model also features a 360 degree antenna design for better reception. The entire package is powered by a 5,160mAh battery with 120W charging support. There are also stereo speakers, NFC, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.

The iQOO Neo9 swaps the Dimensity 9300 for a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. And the ultrawide camera only has a resolution of 8 instead of 50 megapixels. It also has Bluetooth 5.3 instead of 5.4 and different storage configurations.

Both smartphones come in three colors – blue, black and red-white. Interestingly, the last model is slightly thicker (8.34 mm vs. 7.9 mm) and heavier (196 g vs. 190 g) than the other two.

You can already preorder both smartphones in China via vivo’s official Chinese website. Sales start on December 30th. Prices are CNY 2,299 (€292/$323/INR 27,697) and CNY 2,999 (€380/$422/INR 35,092) for the 12/256GB models.
