Honor Tablet 9 with anti-reflective display and SD 6 Gen 1 is here
In addition to the 90 GT, Honor also announced the Honor Tablet 9 today. The new mid-range tablet entirely focuses on multimedia consumption and content creation. The tablet has a lightweight metal housing that is 6.96 mm thin and weighs 555 g. There are three color options in white, blue or gray and either 8GB of RAM with 128 or 256GB of storage or 12GB of RAM with 256 or 512GB of storage. A Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset sits at the helm using a modern 4nm process and eight CPU cores (4x Cortex-A78, 4x Cortex-A55).
On the front there is a 12.1-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels and a maximum brightness of 500 nits. The panel uses an anti-reflective glass etching to eliminate up to 98% of reflections. It is also certified by the Winning Bidding Institute for visual comfort and has TÜV Rheinland approval for beeing non-reflective and flicker-free and have low blue light values.
You can also purchase the Honor Tablet 9 with a special, paper-like screen protector that Honor calls Soft Light. It makes writing and drawing on the display with a pen more comfortable. Honor’s Notes app supports voice-to-text and has templates for drawing.
The Honor Tablet 9’s audio quality is pretty good for this class. In addition to two microphones, you get a total of eight speakers for real surround sound. However, Honor has gone one step further with software with a self-developed speech improvement algorithm. The algorithm can suppress noise and emphasize voices even in a recording.
Finally, the Honor Tablet 9 has an 8,300 mAh battery with 35 watts of charging power. Honor’s MagicOS 7.2 based on Android 13 is used as the operating system. The Tablet 9 is available now for CNY 1,599 (€205/$224/INR18,600). There is also a discount of 100 CNY. The 8/256 GB model costs CNY 1,699 (€216/$238/INR19,800), while the 12/256 GB model will set you back CNY 1,999 (€255/$280/INR 23,800). The top model with 12/512 GB costs CNY 2,199 (€280/$308/INR 26,200). Honor is already warning that quantities are limited.
