Honor Magic6 Porsche Design and Magic6 Pro: First images

Honor and luxury design company Porsche Design recently reached an agreement to collaborate on upcoming high-end smartphones of the Chinese brand. Not much was revealed about the actual projects, except that the first models are expected to hit the market in January 2024. But the result is obvious: the Honor Magic6 Porsche Design is close to start.

According to a new leak, both versions will get a Porsche Design model – the Honor Magic6 and the Magic6 Pro. The tip comes from a Weibo user and shows both variants. The base model above left has a horizontal design in two colors and what appears to be a leather finish. Both the Honor and Porsche Design logos are clearly visible on the back.
The Honor Magic6 Pro on the right is still a bit reminiscent of last year’s Magic5 Pro. The circular camera module appears to be a bit more compact this year. The inspiration clearly comes from a speedometer, including a red line at the right end of the scale. You can like it, but you don’t have to.
According to the rumor mill so far, there will be three Honor Magic6 models – the base model, the Pro and the Magic6 Ultimate. It remains to be seen whether each of these smartphones will also come as a Porsche Design Edition. However, there is already a Magic6 Lite, which is actually a renamed Honot X9b and probably won’t get a Porsche Design version.
We already have initial technical data for some members of the Honor Magic6 series. The Pro model should have a QHD OLED display and a pill-shaped notch for a dual selfie camera. The latter will likely be part of the Smart Island’s notification features. Also on the spec sheet is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and possibly a dedicated graphics and security chip.
The regular Honor Magic6 should get a 160-megapixel periscope zoom camera as well as a variable aperture OV50H or OV50K main camera. 66 watt fast charging via cable is also on board.
