Xiaomi 14 Pro: No launch on the global markets?
At the end of October, the flagship smartphones Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro saw the light of day in China. A few days later they went on sale locally. As usual, we expected them to launch globally at some point in the near future. At least that has been Xiaomi’s pattern so far. This will apparently also be the case with the Xiaomi 14, but the Xiaomi 14 Pro will not make the cut according to a new report. The leak is based on information about what software the company is developing for international markets.
Because this is exactly where the bad news lies: The global version of Xiaomi’s HyperOS is no longer being developed for the Xiaomi 14 Pro. In the base model, the process continues as normal. What is certain, however, is that we will see a Xiaomi 14 Ultra again this year. This means that there are no more buyers for the 14 Pro in the no man’s land between the premium price and the lack of premium features. Anyone who spends well over €1,000 on their new cell phone probably doesn’t want to have to make any compromises on the hardware.
We’ll soon find out what awaits us with the new Xiaomi phones. The global debut of the Xiaomi 14 series is rumored to take place in January (and will continue in India at a later date).
Official: Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 series will be released worldwide on January 4th
A second series is also about to start. We already knew that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 series would launch globally at the beginning of the year. But now we have an exact date – January 4th. The Redmi Note 13, Redmi Note 13 Pro and Redmi Note 13 Pro+ have all been available in China since September.
The Pro models are the stars of the show with their 200 megapixel main cameras with 1/1.4 inch sensors. The 6.67-inch AMOLED displays have a resolution of 1,220 x 2,712 pixels with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The Pro+ is also IP68 water and dustproof and has a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra chipset under the hood. The Pro instead relies on a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 and a slightly larger 5,100 mAh battery.
