Apple iPhone SE 4 to get battery from iPhone 14
The Apple iPhone SE 4 is said to be launching in 2024 and is rumored to feature a similar design to the iPhone 14. According to a new tip, last year’s model also donates its battery. The information comes from MacRumors, who got their hands on SE prototypes with device identifier D59 and Li-Ion batteries with model code A2863. This is the same battery with a capacity of 3,279 mAh as in the iPhone 14.
According to MacRumors, Apple’s internal design documentation for the iPhone SE 4 also confirms these rumors. This would mean that the battery for the inexpensive iPhone would grow by 1,261 mAh or 60% compared to the cell of the iPhone SE 3.
However, it is worth noting that this information refers to pre-production models. Apple’s plans might be subject to change at any time. Previous rumors also suggested that the Apple iPhone SE 4 will feature a BOE OLED display. This would make it the first affordable SE model that does not come onto the market with an LCD display.
We might also get a new action button, which should be introduced with the iPhone 16 series. And a USB-C port, which was introduced with the iPhone 15 series.
