Xiaomi Redmi Note 13R Pro with yellow variant unveiled

Xiaomi introduced the Redmi Note 13 series including the Note 13 Pro+ model two months ago. The base model came onto the market with a Dimensity 6080 chipset, a 5,000 mAh battery and a 108 megapixel main camera. Another member joined today. The company unveiled the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13R Pro, which is identical to the base model under the hood. On the outside there is a new yellow color option and a larger camera module, which now extends across the entire width of the back.

However, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13R Pro is only available in one memory configuration with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. The 6.67-inch OLED display is an old friend. Xiaomi has been using this exact panel for its Redmi smartphones for three years. The main camera on the back is also identical with a 108-megapixel Samsung sensor, while the punch-hole selfie camera has a 16-megapixel sensor.
Xiaomi has also retained the 5,000 mAh battery with 33 watt charging support. In terms of hardware, the cell phone is practically identical. However, due to the additional plastic on the back for the camera island, the device has become slightly heavier and thicker.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 13R Pro is already selling in China for CNY 1,999 (€255/$279). The question is who the new model is aimed at – the regular Note 13 with 12/256GB storage is significantly cheaper at CNY 1,599 (€205/$222) (reduced from CNY 1,699 (€217/$237)).
