Honor Magic 6 Pro appears with iPhone island
The Honor Magic 6 Pro has just been spotted in the wild, revealing a first look at the design of the upcoming flagship. The images appeared on the Chinese social network Weibo. The original source has now deleted the images with the cutout in the style of the current Apple iPhones.
The images show the Honor Magic 6 Pro in a case to hide the design. You can see a pill-shaped cutout in the display, which, in contrast to its predecessor, the Honor Magic5 Pro, has moved from the left corner of the screen to the middle. The Dynamic Island houses a 12 megapixel ultrawide selfie camera and a time-of-flight 3D sensor in the old model. The setup should be similar with the 6 Pro.
We can only speculate about the cameras on the back of the Honor phone based on the pictures, as the protective case covers most of the camera module. The large cutout in the middle should house the main camera. The module at the top left contains the LED flash and a sensor. Another sensor is on the right and a third sensor at the bottom. At first glance, a rather strange arrangement. But the Honor Magic 6 Pro protective case may cover some additional components.
The Honor Magic 5 Pro came onto the market at the end of March. It remains to be seen whether the successor will arrive sooner. In addition to the Honor Magic 6, a 6 Pro and a Magic6 Ultimate are also likely to be part of the series. The cell phones will most likely have Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipsets at the helm, which Qualcomm will unveil on Tuesday next week.
