Redmi 17 5G and Redmi 17 4G officially unveiled

Following last year’s Redmi 15 series, Xiaomi has now introduced the Redmi 17 series with two models. The Redmi 17 5G and the Redmi 17 4G share the same design and core specifications.

Both smartphones are equipped with 6.9-inch IPS LCD displays, but unlike their predecessors, they offer a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels instead of FHD resolution.

Both devices have a 120 Hz refresh rate and an identical 7500 mAh battery with 45 watt charging (wired) and 22.5 watt reverse charging function.

The 4G variant uses a MediaTek Helio G91 Ultra chipset, while the Redmi 17 5G is equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 5. Both smartphones feature 4/6 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128/256 GB of internal storage. The 4G variant uses the slower eMMC 5.1 storage, while the 5G model operates at UFS 2.2 speeds.
