Redmi K100 Pro Max is set to become the new gaming flagship
The Redmi K100 Pro series will launch in China on August 11th. Ahead of the launch, Redmi has already revealed some key specifications of the upcoming smartphones, including details about the chipset and display of the Redmi K100 Pro Max.
The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, which remains the fastest chip on the market. It also receives additional support from a dedicated D2 display chip.
Redmi K100 Pro Max with 185 Hz fast 6.9-inch display
Last week, the company announced that the K100 Pro Max would feature a 6.9-inch display. It has now been confirmed that the panel offers 2K resolution and a 185Hz refresh rate, utilizing M11 AMOLED technology. The display is also expected to reach a peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits.
Putting these components together reveals a clear target audience: gamers. This is evidenced not only by the extremely high processing power, but also by the additional D2 graphics chip and the extremely high refresh rate. As an added bonus, the Redmi K100 Pro Max, just like its predecessor, the K90 Pro Max, also features a Bose subwoofer on the back.
Xiaomi is already accepting pre-orders for the Redmi smartphone in its official online store in China. Further details about the product line are expected in the coming days. We anticipate a powerful cooling system for extended gaming sessions. A 200MP main camera and a very large battery are also expected to be included.
