Redmi Turbo 5 with Dimensity 8500 Ultra chip and 7,540 mAh battery launches in India

The Redmi Turbo 5, which launched in China earlier this year, is now available in India. It features a 7,540 mAh battery in a compact body and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset. Aside from one minor change, the Indian Redmi Turbo 5 is identical to its Chinese counterpart. The only difference is that the Chinese model has a slightly larger 7,560 mAh battery.


It features a 6.59-inch flat AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 3,500 nits, and a 1.5K resolution. The MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset is cooled by a 3D ice-cooling system with a 5,300 mm² vapor chamber. The chipset is equipped with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 245GB of UFS 4.1 storage.

For photography, the smartphone features a 50-megapixel main camera (Sony IMX882) on the back, as well as an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. The front camera has a 20-megapixel resolution and is suitable for selfies and video calls. The Redmi Turbo 5 is equipped with a 7,540 mAh battery in India. It supports 100W wired fast charging and 27W wired reverse charging.




The Redmi smartphone runs on HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 and receives software updates for 4 years and security updates for 6 years.
It features a metal frame, an in-display fingerprint scanner, IP69K protection, RGB ring lights housed in the camera module, an infrared sensor and stereo speakers.
Redmi Turbo 5 prices
The Redmi Turbo 5 will be available in India in Asphalt Black, Nitro Blue, and Turbo White. Prices start at 37,999 INR (346 euros/400 US dollars) for the 8GB RAM/128GB storage variant, while the 12GB RAM/256GB storage option costs 40,999 INR (373 euros/435 US dollars).
Sales begin on June 19th via the official Mi.com Store, Amazon India and selected retailers.
