Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold 2 could get an integrated S Pen

Although Samsung has already discontinued production of the Galaxy Z TriFold in many markets, rumors persist about its successor, the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold 2, which is expected to be released sometime next year. While we await further details, a new patent discovered by xleaks7 reveals a device similar to the Galaxy Z TriFold, but with an interesting new feature.

The Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold 2 is said to include a special compartment for the S Pen. According to the patent description, the pen would be held magnetically and charged while stored, similar to the Galaxy S26 Ultra. To achieve this in the tri-fold format, Samsung would have to make the left half of the display narrower, which would make the device appear more asymmetrical overall.

Since this is a patent, there’s no guarantee that this exact design will ever appear in a finished Samsung smartphone. However, it does show that Samsung is considering ways to integrate its S Pen into future tri-folding devices.
According to an earlier rumor, the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold 2 is supposed to be both thinner and lighter than the original. This would significantly increase the challenge of also making room for an S Pen.
