Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra to have fewer cameras than the S26 Ultra
Rumors suggest that Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S27 series will receive a comprehensive design update – the camera is said to be repositioned. In fact, the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra could look something like the image below.
This is not a leaked image, but merely a speculative rendering based on the aforementioned rumor. From the same source, the well-known tipster Ice Universe, another revelation comes: The Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra is also supposed to receive an update regarding the camera hardware, not just in terms of the position of the camera module.
Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra without 3x telephoto camera
Apparently, the 3x telephoto camera of the Galaxy S26 Ultra (and its predecessors) will no longer be used in the Galaxy S27 Ultra. It is unclear whether this means the smartphone will only have three instead of four rear cameras, or whether Samsung will replace the 3x telephoto camera with a different technology.
However, the render released by Ice Universe strongly suggests that the next Samsung flagship will be equipped with a triple rear camera, not a quad camera. While this may sound like a step backward, smartphones like the vivo X300 Ultra with only three cameras belong to the best camera phones on the market.
