Affordable Redmi A7 and A7 Pro 4G announced in India

Exactly one week ago, Xiaomi announced the Redmi A7 Pro 5G in India and now, in addition to the standard A7 4G model, has also introduced a 4G variant of the A7 Pro. The Redmi A7 4G features a 6.88-inch LCD display, while the A7 Pro 4G is equipped with a 6.9-inch panel. Both devices offer a 120Hz refresh rate, HD+ resolution, and a 240Hz touch sampling rate.

Inside, both smartphones use the Unisoc T7250 chipset, which is combined with up to 4 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. They also feature a microSD card slot for storage expansion.


The cameras are the same on both models – a 13 MP main camera on the back and an 8 MP front camera. The standard version has a 5,200 mAh battery, while the A7 Pro 4G is equipped with a larger 6,300 mAh battery. Both devices support 15W wired charging and 7.5W wired reverse charging.
Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, IP52 water and dust resistance, and dual-SIM support. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, Wi-Fi, and a USB Type-C port. Interestingly, the base model runs HyperOS 2 based on Android 15, while the A7 Pro 4G runs the current HyperOS 3 based on Android 16.
The standard model is promised Android updates for 2 years and security patches for 4 years, while the Pro variant is expected to receive Android operating system upgrades for 4 years and security updates for 6 years.
Redmi A7 and A7 Pro prices
The Redmi A7 4G is available in a single variant with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage for 10,499 INR (96€/112USD). It comes in black and sky blue. The A7 Pro features 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage and costs 11,499 INR (105€/123USD). It will be available in sunset orange and black.
The Redmi smartphones will be available in India from April 24th. Customers can purchase them from the official Xiaomi online store, Flipkart, or brick-and-mortar retailers.
