Motorola Razr Fold sales launch brought forward to this week
The Motorola Razr Fold had a bumpy start – it was already unveiled in early January, but it’s not yet available. That will change this Saturday, because the Bulgarian mobile provider Yettel closes pre-orders for the FIFA edition of the smartphone.
The Motorola Razr Fold FIFA Edition England – Ghana with 512 GB of storage will be officially available from April 18th and costs €2,600. It is only available in one color and with one storage capacity.
Yettel has branches in Serbia and Hungary, but we couldn’t find the phone on their respective local websites. The original price (early March) was €2,000 for the standard model (not the FIFA version).
Meanwhile, Motorola Germany still lists the smartphone as “available soon” at a lower price of €2,400. Motorola UK has also not yet announced a release date, only the price: £2,120. These pre-orders were originally supposed to end on May 3rd, two weeks later than Yettel’s, for some reason.
Motorola Razr Fold pre-orders are now available in the UK and Europe
The Razr Fold, which Motorola unveiled in January as the first foldable, book-style smartphone, is now available for pre-order in the UK and Europe. While Motorola hasn’t yet announced the exact release date for these regions, it has stated that pre-orders will begin shipping on May 6th. This could also mark the official sales launch in the UK and Europe.
Motorola is accepting pre-orders for the Razr Fold until May 3rd. Those who pre-order will get a free Moto Watch and a pair of Moto Buds Loop headphones, as well as a discount of £220 in the UK and €250 in Europe.
The Motorola Razr Fold costs £1,799.99 in the UK and €1,999.99 in Europe. With the pre-order discount, the price is reduced to £1,579.99 in the UK and €1,749.99 in Europe.
There is no information yet regarding availability in the US. Motorola’s US website currently only offers a form to sign up for notifications when the device is available.
The Motorola Razr Fold is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset and features three 50MP rear cameras and a 6,000mAh battery. Motorola is also preparing its Razr 70 series of flip-foldables, but there is no release date yet.
