Honor X70 Refresh Edition and Honor Watch X5i unveiled
Honor continues to present numerous new products, including the latest addition to the X series: the Honor X70 Refresh Edition with its particularly powerful battery, which was already unveiled in July. Honor also presented its latest fitness smartwatch, the Watch X5i, with a 1.97-inch AMOLED display and a battery life of up to 21 days.
Honor X70 Refresh Edition
The Honor X70 Refresh Edition features three changes. It is available in the new Sunrise Gold color, comes with MagicOS 10 based on Android 16, and is 300 CNY (38 Euro/44 USD) more expensive than the regular Honor X70.
As for the remaining specifications, these are identical to those of the normal Honor X70. This means a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset, a 50 MP main camera, and an 8,300 mAh battery with 80 Watt fast charging capability.
We are fairly certain that the Honor X70 Refresh Edition, just like the regular Honor X70, will remain exclusive to China. Prices start at 1,699 CNY (214 euros/247 US dollars) for the variant with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage and go up to 2,399 CNY (302 euros/349 US dollars) for the version with 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage.
Honor Watch X5i
In addition to the Honor X70 Refresh Edition, the Chinese company also presented the Honor Watch X5i, a new Fitness Smartwatch, which comes with a real-time operating system (RTOS) without support for third-party apps.
The Honor Watch X5i features a 1.97-inch AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 390 x 450 pixels, a 60 Hz refresh rate, and an always-on display (AOD). It weighs 41 grams (including the strap) and has a metal case. The watch is water-resistant up to 1 ATM, making it suitable for light water contact, but not for submersion or swimming.
The Watch X5i offers the usual health and activity features, including continuous monitoring of heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, sleep, and stress. You can track your fitness goals and use over 100 sports modes.
The watch pairs via Bluetooth 5.4 and supports Bluetooth calls directly on the device. It is compatible with Android, iOS, and HarmonyOS devices. Honor states a battery life of up to 21 days with normal use of the Watch X5i’s 420 mAh battery, and up to 6 days in always-on display mode.
The Honor Watch X5i is available in Midnight Black and Starlight White. It costs 219 CNY (28 euros/32 US dollars) and is available in Honor’s official online store in China. Delivery is scheduled for April 15th.
