vivo Y21 and vivo Y11 launch in India

vivo today launched two new entry-level smartphones in India: The vivo Y21 and the Y11. Both models bear names that vivo has used before – in fact, this is already the fourth Y11, following the original from 2014, the 2019 model, and the 2023 model. The Y21, thankfully, is only the second of its kind, after the first Y21 from the year 2021.

The Y11 and Y21 models from 2026 are identical in most specifications. The difference lies in the camera: the Y11 has a 13 MP rear camera, while the Y21 is equipped with a 50 MP sensor.

The Y21 also offers faster 44-watt charging (compared to 15 watts on the Y11), and one of the colors has a different name. The Y11 is available in Sunrise Gold and Midnight Blue, while the Y21 comes in Champagne Gold and Midnight Blue.
These are all the differences. Both smartphones feature the same 6.74-inch HD+ LCD display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 1,200 nits peak brightness, the Dimensity 6300 chipset, and a 6,500 mAh battery. They are both IP65 dust and water resistant and also offer SGS-certified military-grade shock resistance. They run Android 16 with the OriginOS 6 user interface.
