Xiaomi Watch 5: EU price leaked
The Xiaomi Watch 5 was presented in China at the end of December. And now, according to a report from the Czech Republic, it’s coming to the international market, including the EU. The global version of the watch will run on Wear OS and is reportedly going to cost 7,990 CZK in the Czech Republic, which is currently about €329. The watch will apparently be offered in juniper green and black.
This price applies to the model without a data connection, but a Polish comparison portal suggests that the version with eSIM will also be available in the EU.
Xiaomi Watch 5 with giant battery
The Xiaomi Watch 5 boasts an exceptionally large 930 mAh battery for a smartwatch, thanks to the new Si/C technology. It features a 1.54-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 480 x 480 pixels, a peak brightness of 1,500 nits, and a 2.6 mm round bezel.
The device is powered by the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chipset with an energy-efficient BES2800 coprocessor. It also features Bluetooth 5.4, a heart rate sensor with blood oxygen saturation measurement, an ECG sensor, an accelerometer, a gyroscope, a compass, a barometer, and an ambient light sensor.
The device also features an EMG sensor that captures electrical signals from the hand muscles and converts them into gestures for controlling the user interface. The watch also offers over 150 sports modes. It measures 47 x 47 x 12.3 mm and weighs 56 g. Furthermore, the Xiaomi smartwatch is waterproof up to 50 meters.
