Numerous rumors about the Redmi Turbo 5 series have circulated online in recent months. Now, a new leak has revealed the chipsets that are expected to be used in the Turbo 5 and Turbo 5 Pro.

According to a tipster on Weibo, the Redmi Turbo 5 will be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 chipset, while the Turbo 5 Pro will get the Dimensity 9500e chip.

Redmi Turbo 5 series not until January 2026

It’s worth noting that neither Dimensity chipset has been officially announced yet. According to a recent rumor that has surfaced, the Redmi Turbo 5 series was originally supposed to be released alongside the Xiaomi 17 Ultra on December 25th, which obviously didn’t happen. However, another leak claims the smartphones won’t hit the market until January 2026, which is significantly more likely.

Previous rumors suggested that the Turbo 5 would have a 6.6-inch display with 1.5K resolution, a metal frame, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, and a 7,500 mAh battery.

Rumours suggest the Pro version will come with a huge 9,000 mAh battery and will be equipped with 100-watt fast charging. It will also feature a metal casing, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, and a 1.5K resolution LTPS OLED display.
