Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 with camera update, Flip8 with Exynos 2600 chip

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8 will be released in July 2026, following the normal update cycle. Both Samsung phones are expected to finally receive major updates, albeit in very different areas.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 receives major camera update
According to a new tip, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 will allegedly be equipped with the same 200MP main camera as the Galaxy Z Fold7. In addition, a 12MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom will be on board – an improvement over the 10MP camera of the Fold7.

The ultra-wide-angle camera, on the other hand, is new and comes from the Galaxy S25 Ultra. It offers a 50 MP resolution, representing a significant improvement over the Fold7’s 12-megapixel camera. Unfortunately, the two selfie cameras of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 remain unchanged and offer a resolution of 10 MP each.
The Galaxy Z Fold8, just like its predecessor, will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest and most powerful processor, in this case the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8 with Exynos 2600 chipset
Samsung finally unveiled the new Exynos 2600 chipset yesterday, which according to rumors will power the upcoming Galaxy S26 smartphones in at least one country. According to a new report from Korea, Samsung will also use the Exynos 2600 in the Galaxy Z Flip 8, which is expected to launch this summer.

The Galaxy Z Flip7 was Samsung’s first foldable smartphone with an Exynos processor, more precisely with the Exynos 2500. Therefore, it is hardly surprising that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8 is also counting on its successor. Nevertheless, it’s good to have this confirmed already, even if the market launch of the Flip8 is still a few months away.
That’s all the information that has leaked so far. We’ll let you know as soon as we have more information about the Flip8 and the Fold8.
