Honor X8d with a large battery and 4G chipset is here

Although the Honor X8d has not yet been officially announced, it is already in Kyrgyzstan It’s listed. It’s currently shown as sold out, but that will surely change soon. Therefore, we unfortunately can’t give you a price yet, but we do have the technical specifications and official images, which you can see below.

The Honor X8d is available in blue, grey, and black and features a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2392 pixels. On the back, there’s a 108 MP main camera and a 5 MP secondary camera. A 16 MP front-facing camera is available for selfies.
Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 with 13-year-old cores
The Honor X8d is powered by the brand-new Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 chipset. However, this chip is based on four ARM Cortex-A73 cores from 2016 and four Cortex-A53 cores from 2012. For comparison, the Apple iPhone 5 was also released around the same time.
Qualcomm still advertises a 51% improvement in CPU performance compared to its predecessor, the Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 1. This is due to the increased clock speeds of the performance cores, from 2.1 to 2.9 GHz, which likely also leads to higher power consumption. The graphics chip is said to be 20% faster, and the Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 also supports 108 MP cameras, but only allows 1080p video recording at 60 fps. It also features Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.2 with aptX Adaptive.

It’s unclear which software is pre-installed, as there seems to be a typo in the product description. It states that it runs Android 15 under MagicOS 10 – however, MagicOS 10 is based on Android 16. Hopefully, it’s the latter version.
