Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra cases leaked, S26 Pro and Edge still with 25W charging

With the launch planned for January, Samsung is currently working hard on the entire S26 series. The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra has appeared in two images with protective cases. The Exynos 2600 chipset powering it is nearing mass production, and there is also news about the Galaxy S26 Pro and S26 Edge.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Cases Leaked

The first leak shows two images of Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra cases. These most likely come from the case manufacturer itself, as these companies need detailed dimensions for upcoming phones in order to have their accessories ready in time for launch.

As you can see, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra features the now much-discussed oval island design for the camera module, instead of the individual islands we’ve seen on its recent predecessors.

While this leak doesn’t specify, a previous leak mentioned that the thickness of the camera island on the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will be approximately twice that of the S25 Ultra. This is partly due to the thinner nature of the rest of the device, but there may also be a very large new sensor under the main camera.

In fact, there were recent rumors that the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra’s 5x telephoto camera will remain unchanged and that the other telephoto lens will even be downgraded. Unless the ultra-wide-angle lens gets an update, the extra thickness remains a mystery for now.

Exynos 2600 to also power the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra

Samsung will begin mass production of the Exynos 2600 this month, industry insiders report. This is the first chipset on Samsung’s new 2nm GAA (Gate All Around) node and, according to Daishin Securities, will be used in the upcoming Galaxy S26 series, including the flagship Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra.

The use of the Exynos 2500 in the Galaxy Z Flip7 helped Samsung reduce costs in its mobile division while strengthening its LSI division (the division that manufactures Exynos chips). The goal is to do the same on a larger scale with the Exynos 2600 and the Galaxy S26 series.

Earlier this year, the head of Samsung LSI stated that the company had “carefully prepared” the new chipset and expected “good results.” The 2600 will use the new Heat Pass Block element, which will help dissipate more heat from the silicon.

The Exynos 2600 has been spotted several times on Geekbench, with recent results looking quite promising. The Xclipse 960 GPU has also been tested and could outperform Qualcomm’s GPU in the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.

Much more than just the fate of the Galaxy S26 series depends on the success of the Exynos 2600 – if it proves to be a solid chip, it will encourage outside customers to order from Samsung foundries (especially now that TSMC is raising prices).

Industry insiders expect orders from companies like Nintendo, Tesla, and Valens to further boost Samsung’s foundry business. In Nintendo’s case, the Switch 2 chip is being developed by Nvidia and manufactured on an old Samsung 8nm node. Earlier this year, Tesla and Samsung signed a $16.5 billion deal for next-generation AI chips.

Daishin Securities forecasts that Samsung’s Device Solutions division – which includes the LSI, foundry, and memory chip businesses – will report an operating profit of KRW 5 trillion (€3.1 billion/USD 3.6 billion) in the third quarter. The memory chip segment bears the brunt of this, with an estimated operating profit of KRW 6.3 trillion, while the foundry business is expected to report a loss of KRW 1.3 trillion. While this is half the figure for the second quarter, there is still a long way to go before profitability.

3C certifications confirm: No charging upgrade for Samsung Galaxy S26 Pro and S26 Edge

Ice Universe was right – the Galaxy S26 Pro and Galaxy S26 Edge will only support 25W wired charging. The tipster said this last week, and now there is proof, as China’s 3C has certified the three models.

The Samsung Galaxy S26 Pro (SM-S9420) and Galaxy S26 Edge (SM-S9470) reach a maximum of 9V 2.77A. This corresponds to 25W and is identical to the Galaxy S25 and S25 Edge. The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra (SM-S9480) supports 10V 4.5A or 15V 3A, which corresponds to 45W each.

Even the Galaxy A56 and the S25 FE support 45W. The Edge is probably too thin for efficient heat dissipation at 45W, but the Galaxy S26 Pro, with its larger 4,300mAh battery, should at least be able to keep up with the mid-range models.
