Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge: Images reveal new design
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge appeared in a photo just yesterday evening, along with two other dummy models of the Galaxy S26 series. The S26 Edge stood out due to its rather large camera module. CAD-based renderings created by OnLeaks now confirm the overall design and reveal the exact dimensions: 158.4 x 75.7 x 5.5 mm. This is 0.3 mm thinner than the current Galaxy S25 Edge, but not including the camera island.
The camera island brings the total thickness to 10.8 mm, almost double the overall thickness of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge. It also takes up almost the entire width of the phone, at least at the camera level. This, of course, presents a major advantage for Samsung: There’s significantly more space available for internal components that wouldn’t have fit into the narrow part of the case.
The leak also confirms that the Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge features integrated magnets for full Qi2 support. Of course, the camera island could complicate the development of magnetic accessories – yesterday’s images clearly show how close the magnetic charging coil is to the camera module.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge continues with 6.7-inch display
The display will have a diagonal of 6.7 inches, as before; further details about the panel have yet to be confirmed. Based on this and the similar dimensions to the Galaxy S25 Edge, the 2026 model is likely to have similar screen bezels.
On the upside, Samsung has reportedly found a way to increase the battery capacity compared to the current Edge. Admittedly, it’s only from 3,900 mAh to 4,200 mAh, but it’s better than nothing. In 2025, we were naturally hoping for a Si/C battery, as this new battery type is setting new records for Chinese manufacturers almost weekly.
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge recently appeared in a Geekbench test with a Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset. The Galaxy S26 Edge is scheduled to be unveiled this month and will likely be unveiled shortly thereafter in the Xiaomi 16. Unfortunately, the Geekbench test was conducted with the US variant, so we don’t know if other regions will get a different chipset – Samsung’s Exynos 2600 is also in the pipeline. Other changes could include a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera—however, there won’t be a third camera, even with the new camera module.
