Xiaomi 16: New image shows extremely narrow bezels
Later this month, Qualcomm will unveil its next flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, which may also debut as the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Rumor has it that Xiaomi will unveil its new flagship lineup before the end of the month, consisting of the Xiaomi 16, the 16 Pro, and the Pro Max, all equipped with the new chip.
One of these three devices has just leaked in the image shown above. The source, the prolific Chinese tipster Ice Universe, has not yet revealed which of the three models is shown in the picture. But it’s definitely part of it, as the wallpaper is part of Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3, which all new Xiaomi flagship phones are expected to launch with.
Xiaomi 16 is expected to break records
The Xiaomi 16 is also expected to have the narrowest symmetrical bezels and the most rounded screen corners in mobile phone history. It will therefore have even more rounded corners than those of the iPhone 17 Pro.
Xiaomi has recently reshuffled its flagship lineup a bit. The Xiaomi 16 and the 16 Pro are roughly the same size, although the latter has better features, for example, in the camera department. The Pro Max is simply a larger version of the Pro model. Similar patterns are already known from Google, Apple, and vivo. Xiaomi, another exciting manufacturer, is now launching a top-of-the-line smartphone with a smaller display.
