Motorola Moto G 2026 and Moto G Play 2026: Various pictures and specs

The upcoming Motorola Moto G 2026 and Moto G Play 2026 leaked in some renders today. Included were various promotional materials and some of the key technical specifications.
Motorola Moto G 2026
Given their very distinctive name, these models are likely coming to North America, where the Motorola Moto G 2026 will apparently replace the Moto G (2025), which launched in January. As you can see, the design practically screams Motorola, although the bottom edge also somehow screams 2020. At least they don’t have a notch.

The Motorola Moto G 2026 reportedly has a 6.7-inch HD+ display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 1,000 nits peak brightness, indicating an LCD panel. It also features Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top.

In addition, there’s a 50 MP main camera alongside a “Macro Vision” camera on the back and a 32 MP selfie camera on the front. The 5,200 mAh battery supports 30W wired charging.
The Moto G 2026 is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 chipset, paired with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Compared to its predecessor, the only improvements appear to be a higher-resolution selfie camera and a 200 mAh larger battery.

The Motorola Moto G Play 2026 is the same phone, but with some drawbacks: only 64 GB of storage, a 32 MP rear camera, an 8 MP selfie camera, and 18W wired charging. Both Moto phones run Android 16 from day one.

The Motorola Moto G Play 2026 is pictured here in Pantone Cattleya Orchid, while the G Play 2026 is presented in Pantone Tapestry. The partnership between Motorola and Pantone is therefore not over yet.
It is unclear when the models will be launched. We’re guessing January at the latest, but probably already in time for the Christmas season.
