Oppo Find X9 Pro and Find X9 Ultra with Samsung cameras
The full camera details for the upcoming Oppo Find X9 Pro have leaked thanks to a tipster on X. There is also new information about the Find X9 Ultra’s main camera.
Oppo Find X9 Pro: Full Camera Details
The Oppo Find X9 Pro is said to be equipped with a 50 MP main camera with Sony’s Lytia LYT-828 sensor, a 200 MP telephoto camera with Samsung’s ISOCELL HP5 sensor (with 3x optical zoom), a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera with Samsung’s ISOCELL JN5 sensor, a 2 MP color/flicker sensor, and a 50 MP selfie camera with Samsung’s ISOCELL JN5 sensor.
According to previous leaks, the Oppo Find X9 Pro will have a A 6.78-inch LTPO OLED flat screen with narrow bezels on all sides, an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor in the display, and IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance. Since this is Oppo’s flagship series, there’s also plenty of power under the hood in the form of the upcoming MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset. The battery has a massive capacity of between 7,000 and 7,500 mAh.
The design of the Oppo Find X9 Pro is said to be different from the last generation – the camera island is no longer circular. It is now located in the upper left corner of the back and resembles the camera island of the Reno14 series, but looks a bit more premium.
Oppo Find X9 Ultra with Galaxy S26 Ultra main camera
There were already rumors that the upcoming Oppo Find X9 Ultra would feature a new 200 MP main camera. Prolific Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station has now confirmed these very rumors. Apparently, it’s the sensor Sony is currently developing, with a resolution of 200 MP and a physical footprint of 1/1.1 inch. That’s not quite 1 inch, but it’s pretty close.
Interestingly, there are rumors that Samsung chose exactly this sensor for the main camera of the Galaxy S26 Ultra. If all these rumors prove true, an interesting situation will arise next year when both the Galaxy S26 Ultra and the Find X9 Ultra launch with the same main camera sensor.
That depends, however, on whether Oppo will even officially sell the Find X9 Ultra outside of China. If not, the two won’t really compete directly anywhere, given Samsung’s tiny market share in China.
The Oppo Find X9 Ultra will launch after the Chinese New Year on February 17. DCS says it could be released a bit earlier than its predecessor, which was unveiled on April 10. Oppo may therefore be planning a launch sometime in March.
