Honor Magic V Flip 2: Various specs, pictures and launch date
The Honor Magic V Flip 2 will be announced in a few days. In addition to various leaks, Honor itself also regularly posts teasers, such as today’s teaser about the foldable’s robust UTG display and its generous battery capacity. Two new leaks also provide images in all colors and various technical specifications.
Honor Magic V Flip 2: Display withstands 350,000 folding cycles
The new Weibo teaser for the Honor Magic V Flip 2 briefly introduces the “new” UTG (Ultra Thin Glass) display technology, which is used for flexible OLED panels, is actually a material that has been in use for several years. One of the first foldable Samsung phones was already equipped with UTG.
The teaser claims that the new display can withstand 350,000 folds, meaning it will last at least five years of normal use. Even after the 350,000th fold, the panel crease was no larger than 50 µm. The teaser also confirms the large 5,500 mAh battery, 80W fast charging via cable, and 50W fast charging without cable.
Images and technical specifications
The first leak of the Honor Magic V Flip 2 shows the design and various color options thanks to various images.
There are also some technical specifications. The smartphone will feature a 6.82-inch, flexible LTPO AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. There is also a 4-inch Full HD+ LTPO front display with a 120 Hz refresh rate.
The Magic V Flip 2 features a 200 MP main camera on the rear and a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle sensor. A 50 MP front camera should be available for selfies.
The smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. It also features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and is 6.9 mm thick when opened and 15.5 mm thick when closed. It weighs 204 g.
The Honor Magic V Flip 2 will be available in four color variants. Honor is also working with Jimmy Choo on a special edition of the smartphone.
Start date of the Honor Magic V Flip2 officially announced
According to the second leak, the Honor Magic V Flip 2 is unveiled on August 21. This info comes from Honor itself. The appointment is in China next Thursday at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the publication date of the Magic V Flip2, Honor also revealed the design and colors of the smartphone that can be seen in the pictures above.
As with the predecessor, there is an LED flash on the back. However, the size of the camera modules is unchanged.
