Samsung Galaxy A17 with 50 MP OIS camera and Exynos 1330 is here
The Samsung Galaxy A17 is the latest member of the Galaxy A series and features several notable improvements over its predecessor model. These include Samsung’s Exynos 1330 chipset, an improved screen protector, and optical image stabilization on the 50MP main camera, just as predicted in the leaks. Several retailers across Europe already had the A17 in their inventory before its official launch.
The Samsung Galaxy A17 features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 90 Hz refresh rate. The panel is equipped with Gorilla Glass Victus protection and features a drop-shaped notch for the 13 MP selfie camera. The maximum brightness is 1,100 nits.
On the back, there’s a 50 MP main camera, which now also features OIS, as well as a 5 MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2 MP macro camera. The battery packs Samsung’s typical 5,000 mAh capacity and supports cable charging at the standard 25 watts. The smartphone is IP54 rated and features expandable storage via the microSD card slot.
The software runs One UI 7 based on Android 15. Samsung promises six operating system updates and six years of security patches.
Samsung Galaxy A17 Prices
The Samsung Galaxy A17 is available in black, blue, and gray. The 4/128 GB variant costs € 230 in France, while the 8/256 GB version already has for € 309 in Spain.
What’s still missing, however, is an official release date. However, the date and market launch of the Galaxy phone shouldn’t be long in coming. MediaMarkt Spain, the second source, believes it will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity G99 chipset. However, this is likely a typo.
