Samsung Galaxy F16 5G with Dimensity 6300 chipset is here
The Samsung Galaxy F16 5G is here and is set to shake up the entry-level smartphone market in India. Although the name is new, it’s simply a rebranded Galaxy M16, which is partly based on the Galaxy A16 and partly also launched in India. The only notable changes compared to the M16 are the color options: Vibrant Blue, Bling Black, and Glam Green, all three featuring Samsung’s Ripple Glow effect.
Otherwise, the Samsung Galaxy F16 5G has the same specifications as the M16. These include a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a maximum refresh rate of 90 Hz, a Dimensity 6300 chipset, and a 5,000 mAh battery with Samsung’s signature 25W charging. The Galaxy smartphone is configurable with 4, 6, or 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, which is expandable via microSD card.
The cameras are located in Samsung’s new island instead of three separate cutouts. These include a 50 MP main camera, a 5 MP ultrawide camera, and a 2 MP macro camera. The Samsung Galaxy F16 5G runs on One UI 7 based on Android 15. Samsung promises six major Android version updates and six years of security updates for the affordable smartphone.
The base version with 4/128 GB starts in India at INR 11,499 (€122/$131), making it INR 1,000 cheaper than the Galaxy M16 with the same RAM and storage. Sales through Samsung India and partner retailers started today.
