Apple iPhone 17 appears again with new back
Last month, we saw leaked images of the alleged Apple iPhone 17 Pro with a wide camera visor instead of the traditional square cutout on the back. This rumor was later debunked, but now we have another image that suggests the 17 series will indeed have the visor design.
The latest image was shared by X-tipster Majin Bu, who has a solid track record with Apple products. The image shows two backs of the Apple iPhone 17 series. We get no confirmation as to which devices they are. While the single camera cutout clearly indicates one of the cheaper models, it might not be that cheap – the only iPhone with just one camera on the back will reportedly be the new iPhone 17 Air, which is set to replace the iPhone 16 Plus.
But Apple is unlikely to throw the iPhone 17 Air at us, even with its clear camera setup. On the contrary, we’re guessing it will be more expensive than the normal iPhone 17, due to the extremely flat design. Nevertheless, the completely new back would be a pretty radical step, so the new images should be viewed with caution. There are also still at least eight months until the Apple iPhone 17 series is launched, so there’s still plenty of time for more leaks and rumors.
