Xiaomi HyperOS 2 rollout: First updates coming this month
Xiaomi introduced HyperOS 2 a few weeks ago, but at the time only offered a schedule for the update for Chinese devices. There was a leaked timeline, but it was wrong – Xiaomi just released the original. The good news is that we don’t have to wait until 2025 for the latest version of the Android interface.
Some users don’t even have to wait until next month – the first smartphones to get HyperOS 2 are the Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro, in November 2024. And they’re not alone either, the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Ultra will also make the jump this month. As will the Xiaomi 13T Pro, but without the regular 13T for now. Also planned for launch in November are the Redmi Note 13 series and the Poco X6, X6 Pro, F6 Pro and M6 Pro. The Mix Flip is also in the mix
The December schedule picks up the latecomers – the Xiaomi 13T, Poco F6 and M6, as well as a number of older devices. The Xiaomi 13, 12 and 11 series, including the 12T and 12T Pro, as well as the Redmi 13 and 12 (both 4G and 5G variants) and the Redmi Note 12 series will also be updated next month.
Older Poco phones like the X5 Pro, F5 and F5 Pro, X4 GT and F4 GT are also on the list. There are also some newer models, like the Poco C75, which only launched in October but shipped with version 1 of HyperOS.
HyperOS 2 to reach even some devices from 2020
In total, Xiaomi is updating various devices back to 2022 to HyperOS 2 by the end of this year. But others will not, e.g. B. the Poco X4 Pro and the F4. The flagships, such as the Xiaomi Mi 11 and the Mi 11 Ultra from late 2020 / early 2021, go further back.
However, there are two other product categories – the Xiaomi Pads and the Xiaomi Watches. The Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4 and Smart Band 9 Pro will start in November. Next month, the Xiaomi Pad 6, the Poco Pad and a number of Redmi Pads will also switch to HyperOS 2.
