Samsung Galaxy S24 FE: Unboxing videos and official prices are here
The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE was supposed to launch next month, according to a rumor last week. The next rumor was this week, but that hasn’t happened yet either. In the meantime, the phone just keeps leaking, and has been for quite some time.
Noted tipster Evan Blass has posted an official unboxing video of the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE on X. It confirms the spartan box and the fact that it’s black cardboard. There’s no charger, but hopefully you’ve had enough of that anyway. Color options are blue, graphite, gray, mint, and yellow.
The video also promises “the most powerful camera ever in the Galaxy FE series” with “stunning low-light portraits.” The camera system consists of a 50 MP main camera, a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, an 8 MP telephoto camera with three times optical zoom and a 10 MP selfie camera.
In addition, there is another unboxing video of the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE, which shows the smartphone in blue and gray. It is even shorter than the first clip, but confirms the design. The Samsung smartphone is said to be powered by the in-house Exynos 2400e chipset, which is basically an underclocked version of the Exynos 2400. The display is 6.7 inches, has a peak brightness of 1,900 nits and Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection. The battery capacity is 4,700 mAh. The device is IP68 certified for dust and water resistance and will support Galaxy AI.
Samsung Galaxy S24 FE: US pricing
According to a separate leak, it will start at $649 in the US with 128GB storage. The 256GB version will cost $709. That’s a $50 jump from last year’s Galaxy S23 FE when it launched. Earlier this month, there were rumors of a similar price increase for Europe, where the device will be €50 more expensive than its predecessor.
Samsung itself also confirmed these exact prices today, albeit unintentionally. According to the leak, the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE will come in two variants, 128GB and 256GB, and will cost $650 and $710 respectively. A picture of the camera setup also leaked, which also confirms the technical data from the first leak.
What’s new here is the ProVisual Engine, which combines Nightography, Generative Edit, AI Fusion, Expert RAW and more. At least these are some of the features of the Galaxy S24 Ultra – the S24 FE version could be a little slimmed down when it comes to market.
There is no official information from Samsung about the Galaxy S24 FE yet. However, the two unboxing videos suggest that the device is ready for launch.
