The Xiaomi Mix Flip will be available worldwide from September. Just like the Xiaomi 14T series, as the boss revealed.

The Xiaomi Mix Flip was announced in July and a week later a country manager mentioned that the foldable device would also launch globally. Now there is confirmation from the top. Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun posted on X that the Mix Flip will be available worldwide starting in September. He didn’t give an exact date. But with not much of the month left, we’ll only have to wait a week at most.

The post was basically a response to a poll that Lei Jun posted a few days after the Xiaomi Mix Flip was released. The results of that poll were overwhelmingly positive: almost 80% of voters were excited to be able to buy the flip phone outside of China.

There are no confirmed details on the price yet, but we’ve heard that it will be €1,300 (about $1,400) in Central and Eastern Europe. Of course, that’s based on what a regional manager said in July, so plans could still change.

Lei Jun also shared some details about what it took to build the company’s first foldable:

“When we started the #XiaomiMIXFlip project, we set out to create a foldable that could match the performance of a flat screen flagship. Years of hard work and hundreds of design iterations finally brought us a Xiaomi MIX Flip that we’re pleased to present to the world. As our first flip phone, it represents a major milestone in the evolution of flip-style foldable devices. We’re confident that the MIX Flip will meet the high expectations of our global Xiaomi Fans!”

Xiaomi 14T series also set for global launch

Lei Jun only mentioned the Xiaomi Mix Flip, so the second foldable phone called Mix Fold 4 is likely to stay in China. However, another series is also about to make its international debut, namely the Xiaomi 14T and the 14T Pro.

According to the trailer, the Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro will be launched on September 26th, next Thursday. In the video you can also see the Leica Vario-Summilux lettering, which speaks for high-quality lenses from the optics specialists. A total of four circles can be seen, three of which are probably cameras. The apertures are between f/1.6 and f/2.2 and the focal lengths between 15 and 60 mm.

Accordingly, we can expect a camera setup with a main camera, an ultra-wide angle and a telephoto lens. The leaks so far confirm this theory. It is said to have a 1/1.56 inch main camera with a Sony IMX906 sensor, a 50 MP telephoto lens with 2.6x optical zoom and a 12 MP ultra-wide angle lens with a field of view of 120 degrees. The color options were also leaked last week in high-quality images.
