Oppo Find X8 series borrows some Apple features
The upcoming Oppo Find X8 series will apparently feature magnetic wireless charging, similar to Apple’s MagSafe. This rumor comes from Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, a comprehensive source of information on smartphone makers from the Asian region.
So it looks like Oppo is going to mimic more than just Apple’s camera control button on this year’s flagships. Just like Apple, Oppo is expected to launch an entire ecosystem of accessories and chargers that use the magnetic technology.
Moreover, the Oppo Find X8 series will launch with its own Dynamic Island to complete the Apple imitation. However, Xiaomi has also developed an “ultra-thin” 30W magnetic wireless charger. However, it is still unclear whether it is intended for the upcoming Xiaomi 15 series models or not. We assume it is for now. But strangely, DCS only mentioned the Oppo phones by name.
The Oppo Find X8 and Find X8 Pro are expected to launch in October.
