New live photos of the Oppo Find X8

As far as we currently know, the Oppo Find X8 models are set to launch in China sometime in October. We already have a pretty good idea of the specs and the first images of the base model have already surfaced. This exact model has now come out of hiding again, albeit wrapped in a pretty thick case.

Still, we can see enough of the Oppo phone’s design to confirm previous design leaks. Such as the extra-large camera island on the back. We can also see that the body appears to have thorough cutouts for all the microphones and sensors on the top of the Oppo Find X8. This is interesting because on the other hand, there is no cutout for the alleged capture button. The latter is supposed to sit deep on the right side of the smartphone.
The capture button is also supposedly capacitive and thus not a real button, so you can’t press it through the thick rubber case in the images. This could mean that the capture button could be reserved for the Find X8 Pro and/or the X8 Ultra.
According to recent rumors, the Oppo Find X8 will use a MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset just like the Pro model. The display is said to be a 6.7-inch “1.5K” 120 Hz flat screen. The smartphone will apparently have a 50 MP main camera. You also get a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 3x periscope zoom camera. Power is provided by a 5,600 mAh battery that supports wired charging with a fast 100 watts.
