Realme 13 5G and 13+ 5G introduced
The Realme 13 series already consists of a Pro, a Pro+ and a 4G variant. Today, the Realme 13 5G and the Realme 13+ 5G finally joined the lineup.
Realme 13+ 5G
The Realme 13+ 5G is the first phone to launch with MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 Energy chipset. It features an eight-core setup with four Cortex-A78 cores running at up to 2.5 GHz and another four Cortex-A55 running at up to 2.0 GHz. The 4 Nm chipset also houses a Mali-G615 GPU with improved power management and a dedicated neural chip, the MediaTek NPU 655. Realme also uses a 6,050 mm2 stainless steel vapor chamber to keep thermals under control.
On the front, the Realme 13+ 5G features a 6.67-inch 120Hz OLED display with a peak brightness of 2,000 nits. On the back, there is a 50-megapixel primary camera with a Sony LYT-600 sensor along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens.
The Realme 13+ also features a 5,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging and boots Realme UI based on Android 14. Color options include Victory Gold, Speed Green, and Dark Purple. Prices start at INR 22,999 (€248/$275) for the 8/128GB variant. The 8/256 GB version costs INR 24,999 (€269/$300) and the top model with 12/256 GB is INR 26,999 (€291/$320). The open sale starts on September 6.
Realme 13 5G
The Realme 13 5G is based on a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chip paired with up to 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via microSD card. The chipset is obviously also the biggest difference between the 5G and the 4G model, which makes do with a Snapdragon 685.
The 6.67-inch OLED panel with a refresh rate of 120 Hz is also identical. But there is only one real camera on the back – a 50 MP wide angle with f/1.9 aperture, a chip size of 1/1.95 inches and OIS. There is also a 2 MP depth sensor and a 16 MP f/2.5 selfie camera.
The Realme 13 5G is available in two storage variants with 8/128 GB or 8/256 GB. Realme guarantees two major Android updates and three years of security patches. Since the smartphone has the same housing as the 4G model, it is also IP64 certified against water and dust. A stainless steel vapor chamber ensures efficient cooling.
A standard 5,000 mAh battery keeps the lights on. But unlike the 4G model, the 5G model makes do with a 45 watt fast charging solution and not 67 watts. Prices start at INR 17,999 (€194/$215) for the 8/128 GB variant. The 8/256 GB version costs INR 19,999 (€215/$240). Open sales begin on September 6.
