Motorola Moto G55 and Moto G35 with 50 MP cameras are here
Motorola has just announced its latest Moto G series phones – the Motorola Moto G55 and Moto G35 are here. Both models share most of the technical data and design. However, the G55 offers OIS for the main camera, a more powerful Dimensity 7025 chipset and charges a little faster at 30 watts.
The Motorola Moto G55 is based on a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The Moto G35 offers the same resolution and refresh rate, but a larger diagonal of 6.72 inches. Both Motos have the same 16 MP front camera, each of which sits in a punch-hole cutout. There are also 50 MP main cameras, although only the G55’s is optically stabilized. The second camera on both Motorola phones is an 8 MP ultra-wide angle.
The Motorola Moto G55 is powered by the Dimensity 7025 chipset in combination with 4/8/12 GB RAM and 128 or 256 GB storage. The Moto G35 has to make do with a Unisoc T760 chip with 4 GB RAM and 128/256 GB storage. Both smartphones accept microSD cards of up to 1 TB.
The data sheets are rounded off by 5,000 mAh batteries. They charge with 33 watts on the Motorola Moto G55 and 18 watts for the G35. The software side is Android 14 with Motorola’s Hello UI at the top. There are also side-mounted fingerprint scanners, 3.5 mm headphone jacks and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.
The Moto G55 is available in Twilight Purple (vegan leather), Smoky Green (vegan leather) and Forest Grey and costs €249 in Europe. The Moto G35 is available in Leaf Green (vegan leather), Guava Red and Midnight Black for €199.
Motorola also introduced the Edge 50 Neo today.
