Samsung Galaxy S24 FE support page goes live in France
In April, the first rumors about a Samsung Galaxy S24 FE with the model number SM-S721U appeared in Korea. Now Samsung France has put up a support page for an SM-S721B, which has since been deleted. But the new Fan Edition is obviously on the way. Normally, “U” stands for the USA, while “B” stands for European devices, including those sold in the UK.
The model number SM-S721B also appeared in a Geekbench test. This revealed Samsung’s own Exynos 2400 chipset and 8 GB of RAM. This is the same chipset that is installed in the European Samsung Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+, among others.
Last year’s Samsung Galaxy S23 FE used chipsets that were one generation behind the main Galaxy S23 series – Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 (and Exynos 2100) instead of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. However, the S21 FE and S20 FE used the same generation of chips as the main series, so this is a return to form. The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE with model code SM-S721B/DS mentioned on Samsung France’s support page is the dual-SIM version, by the way. Plus, you can still activate an eSIM as usual.
From the last leak, it is already known that the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE will get the same 50MP 1/1.57-inch camera as the S24 and S24+. The other two cameras could also be the same. It is expected to come in six color variants: mint, cream, purple, indigo, graphite and tangerine.
The timeline for the announcement of the Galaxy S24 FE is unfortunately still unknown. Initial indications suggested an announcement in late 2024, but some sources claim it will not happen until early 2025. The S23 FE, by the way, was launched on October 5, 2023. And since the support page has already gone live, it should be sooner rather than later.
