Sony Xperia 1 VI, 5 VI and 10 VI: first specs unveiled

Sony is currently preparing its smartphone lineup for 2024. As usual, it will also consist of three models. These include the Sony Xperia 1 VI as a flagship, the Xperia 5 VI as a compact high-end model and the Xperia 10 VI for the mid-range. Today, the various configurations for the main memory (RAM) of the three Xperia cell phones were leaked in a first leak.

First of all, the top model: The Sony Xperia 1 VI will be available with 12 or 16 GB of RAM. The former corresponds to the Xperia 1 V, the latter goes even further. Next up is the Xperia 5 VI. According to the leak, Sony will only offer the Xperia 5 VI with 8 GB of RAM, which is rather disappointing for a device with flagship specifications. 8 GB of RAM is upper midrange at best these days.
Finally, the Sony Xperia 10 VI will be available in two versions. The entry-level model will have to make do with 6GB of RAM, while there will also be an 8GB RAM option. That would also raise questions why the Xperia 5 VI has to make do with 8 GB of RAM.
Last year, the Sony Xperia 1 VI was rumored to appear at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. That obviously wasn’t the case – in fact, there wasn’t even a Sony booth at the show. It is therefore still unclear when the company’s next smartphones will be officially presented. As soon as we know more we will report.
