Yesterday, the Realme 12 was officially launched in India with a Dimensity 6100+ chipset under the hood and a starting price of INR 16,999 (€188/$205). Not much time passed before Himanshu Tandon, the head of Poco India, complained about the Realme 12’s high price. He pointed out that Poco is using the Dimensity 6100+ in the M6 5G, which costs less than INR 10,000. In his opinion, we should wait for the Poco X6 Neo instead, as you can see in the post on X shown below. The X6 Neo first appeared earlier this week and is apparently set to be officially unveiled as early as next week.

The Poco X6 Neo looks like a rebrand of the Redmi Note 13R Pro, which like the Realme 12 has a 108-megapixel main camera but uses a Dimensity 6080 processor instead. The only notable difference is the clock frequency of the two large CPU cores, which each run 200 MHz faster.

According to the leak mentioned above, the Xiaomi Poco X6 Neo will start at under INR 16,000. That would be just 1,000 INR (€11/$12) less and 200 MHz more on two CPU cores. The Neo should also have a 6.67-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels, 120 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. In addition to the 108 MP main camera, there is only a 2 megapixel depth sensor on the back. A 16 megapixel front camera takes selfies.

There is also a side fingerprint sensor in the power button and a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 33 watt wired charging.
