Realme 12+ introduced with 50 MP Sony LYT-600 camera

The Realme 12+ made its debut in Indonesia and Malaysia today. The latest addition to the 12 series features a Dimensity 7050 chipset and 67 watts of fast charging. There is also a 50 megapixel main camera with a Sony LYT-600 sensor and optical image stabilization on board.


As expected, the 12+ has a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. There is also a punchhole for the 16 megapixel selfie camera and an integrated fingerprint sensor that doubles as a heart rate tracker . On the back you’ll find the same vegan leather design as the Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ with a large circular camera module.


The main camera is based on a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 sensor with an aperture of f/1.88 and an equivalent focal length range of 26mm. In addition, the sensor offers a 2x in-sensor zoom with a dedicated portrait mode and has OIS. There’s also a 16mm ultra-wide-angle lens with an 8-megapixel resolution and an f/2.2 aperture, as well as a 2-megapixel macro camera.
It is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. The software side is covered by Realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14. The 5,000 mAh battery charges with 67 watts.

The Realme 12+ is available in Pioneer Green and Navigator Beige. You pay IDR 4,199,000 (€247/$267) in Indonesia and MYR 1,499 (€292/$315) in Malaysia. Open sales begin March 8th.
