After the world premiere of the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Ultra at MWC, Xiaomi also released a detailed timeline for HyperOS. As expected, HyperOS is based on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) and Xiaomi’s own Vela IoT platform. First up is the debut, namely on the brand new Xiaomi 14 series, the Pad 6S Pro, the Watch S3 and the Band 8 Pro.

Xiaomi has now also confirmed a list of older smartphones and tablets that will receive the HyperOS update. The rollout schedule varies by device and region and is expected to begin sometime in the first half of 2024. That’s not very specific yet, but we should get more details in the coming months. Additionally, expect more Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco devices to be added to the list over time.
